Job Description

We are hiring a contract associate attorney to assist with a steady flow of real estate transactional work. This role is suited for an attorney with solid experience handling real estate matters who is seeking flexible, predictable contract work.

The Practice
The practice is part of an established law firm with a long history advising sophisticated clients on high-value real estate transactions. The work includes both residential and commercial matters and requires a strong understanding of deal structure and documentation. This role is hybrid, with a mix of remote and in-office work, depending on practice needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drafting and revising real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and amendments
  • Assisting with commercial and residential transactions, including due diligence and closing preparation
  • Reviewing title, survey, and zoning materials and helping address related issues
  • Supporting real estate finance and development matters, including loan and construction documents
  • Providing additional attorney support during periods of increased deal volume

What We're Looking For

  • J.D. and active license to practice law in California (required)
  • 3+ years of real estate transactional experience at a mid-size or large law firm
  • Demonstrated experience working with commercial and residential real estate documents
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and meet deadlines
  • Careful attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Availability to support matters on a contract, project, or hourly basis, with flexibility as workload fluctuates
